KINAANA is Greenlandic and means ”Who is that”. Kinaana is the name of a photo exhibition tour taking place in all the local museums of Greenland during spring and summer of 2006.
The photos to be exhibited all come from the Danish photografer´s Jette Bangs (1914 – 1964) extensive photo collection. The photo collection holds some 12.000 pictures, of which most can be viewed at www.arktiskebilleder.dk. Each museum will recieve photos that reflect its local area.

Simultaneous to the exhibitions the eskimologist Leise Johnsen will be visiting several location to meet with locals in order to collect information in relation to the photos as well as Jette Bang´s work in Greenland.
